What Alcanca receives when you buy Zephyr, and what stays on your Mac.
Who is responsible
Zephyr is sold by Alcanca Group OÜ, an Estonian private limited company with registry code 17299925 ("Alcanca", "we", "us"). Contact us at alcanca.com/contact.
Alcanca Group OÜ is the controller for the purchase and the download email.
What stays on the Mac
Fan speed and temperature readings are read on your Mac so the menu bar can show them. Zephyr does not send those readings, your fan setting, or a hardware inventory to Alcanca.
What the purchase sends
Checkout runs on Stripe. Stripe receives the payment details, the email address you enter, and the final amount and currency you confirm at checkout. We receive from Stripe the fact of the payment, the email address, and the receipt identifier, so we can send the download link and handle a refund. To verify your identity, we send an email code that expires after 10 minutes and can be used only once. We store your licence, activation status, installation public key and device name to activate the app and manage transfers. The private installation key stays in the Keychain on your Mac. We do not receive your full card number.
How long we keep it
We keep the purchase record for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and for as long as needed to deliver the download or process a refund. You can ask for access, correction, or deletion of the email we hold, subject to those legal duties, through the contact page.
